annual Ladies Snowmobile Ride

The ride started out in McCall, Idaho in 2001 with a small group of local women and has since grown drastically and moved to Oregon. Now, every 2nd weekend of February, lady snowmobilers from all over the Northwest gather in the quaint town of Halfway, Oregon for the annual Ladies Snowmobile Ride. The attendance grows each year - in February of 2010, forty+ lady snowmobilers gathered and split up into smaller groups to boondock, powdercurl, climb hills and jump off cornices as well as to enjoy the fun loving and adventurous company! Many of the ladies stay in the quaint and nastalgic Pine Valley Lodge who serve as gracious and highly accommodating hosts before and after riding. Stockman's always serves these ladies up a delicious prime rib meal Saturday night which is followed by an auction for generating a donation to S.A.W.S. After the auction, Boise Mobile DJs provides music to dance the night away into the wee hours of morning.

Other organized ladies snowmobile rides are also taking place throughout the Northwest - check out the forums for specific locations and dates.
